Senior Manager, Digital Marketing
Description:
As the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for building incredible and engaging digital experiences for our supporters. You’ll be responsible for planning, implementing, executing and reporting on all email marketing campaigns. You’ll build thoughtful marketing campaigns to acquire new supporters and engage existing ones.  You’ll strive to convert leads into donors, retain monthly subscribers and drive overall engagement for our supporters.  This role will work closely with the marketing, product, Education programs, creative and engineering teams. You’ll use best-in-class, innovative digital marketing strategies to grow our impact on people in need.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, test, and analyse multi-channel digital campaigns using: automation, optimisation, sophisticated content, personalisation, relevancy, targeting and segmentation .
  • Develop the annual digital communications strategy and calendar; execute triggered marketing campaigns for donor impact reporting, seasonal promotions, renewals, platform engagement, revenue and loyalty across all channels
  • Work with the Demand Generation Lead to drive growth of the digital program
  • Work with the Product team to drive conversions, increase lifetime value and minimise churn within Bal Utsav’s subscription program
  • Continuously monitor email KPIs
  • Develop, test and analyse retention marketing programs, supporter lifecycle campaigns and donation reporting programs that drive engagement and loyalty
  • Conduct regular and extensive QA to ensure campaigns render properly across major platforms and browsers, especially mobile
  • Keep Bal Utsav current on email marketing best practices, including contact strategies, data capture, campaign analysis, deliverability, CAN-SPAM compliance and CRM tools
  • Own the relationship with all service providers, and be the subject matter expert for all digital efforts across the organisation
Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five years of email / digital marketing experience, with a strong focus on lifecycle marketing and engagement
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience working in enterprise-level email service providers
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and SQL
  • High level of proficiency in Emma, and other ESPs
  • Basic proficiency in HTML
  • Experience working with SalesForce, and other CRMs
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including segmentation
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage, plan and prioritise multiple projects and deadlines
  • Demonstrated project management experience. 
  • Expert in email compliance and regulations, such as CAN-SPAM

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • You'll lead the Sampoorna Shaala and iShaala Programs team and our programs portfolio, currently made up of staff, partner organisations and active grants.  .
  • You'll ensure high quality program implementation, including participating in design and development of programs and country strategies, conducting needs assessments, identifying potential partners and programs, validating and providing feedback on partner proposals, and monitoring and evaluating grantee performance
  • You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the overall strategic direction for Bal Utsav’s programs, in collaboration with the Chief Global Education Officer and program’s leadership.
  • You'll develop and manage performance measures and proactively communicate and resolve performance issues with partners. Coordinate and conduct regular field trips to asses partners and programs. Drive program planning with senior decision-makers at partner organisations.
  • You'll contribute to the continued development of Bal Utsav resources and policies. 
  • You'll work with our Key Relationships and Brand Partnerships teams to respond to donor opportunities through program design and donor reporting. Partner with other teams across Bal Utsav to ensure integrated alignment occurs with Finance, Production, Creative and Tech.
  • You'll hire, fire, train, counsel, evaluate, and recommend promotions for those under direct supervision. Promote staff development via training, workshops and coaching.
  • You'll maintain up-to-date knowledge base of the Education sector, which includes literature review, attending conference and meetings and communicating with peers in the field. Programs Officer ( Whole School Transformation )
Description:
As a Programs Officer, you'll oversee a portfolio of programs around India. You'll work with a small and hardworking team to make sure that Bal Utsav's funds are invested in the most relevant and effective Infrastructure, Teacher Development, Scholarship and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programs out there.  You'll help extensively vet proposals before agreeing to grants and you'll develop close relationships with our local partners and make sure that the program objectives are met. You'll help build new systems that make our partnerships models of efficiency and transparency; and position our programs to achieve maximum impact today and over time.

Responsibilities

  • You'll supervise a portfolio of ₹8-10M of investments in whole school transformation, in the areas of Infrastructure, Teacher Development, Scholarship and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Programs.
  • You'll manage, coordinate and lead our partner organisations and stay informed of their progress against program objectives.
  • You’ll regularly identify opportunities for strengthening critical technical and operational areas relating to the implementation of Bal Utsav's funds. Including technical quality, coordination with and reliance on local institutions and organisational efficiency.
  • You'll visit the field to supervise work on the ground and then agree on action plans and next steps with partners. 25-30% travel expected.
  • You'll work collaboratively with each of Bal Utsav’ departments (finance, compliance, programs, growth, creative, reporting, technology, etc.) to make sure their involvement in our school programs is maximised and efficient.
  • You'll work closely with the Director of Programs to plan for future commitments to partners.
  • You'll develop innovative ways to provide our beneficiaries with sustainable sources of effective education, improve our partners' understanding of our requirements, capture stories from the field, gather information on program status, and plan for program expansion.
  • You will help grow and manage a post implementation support system to ensure sustainability of our supported schools.
