TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2018 | Race day information & Route Maps for our Runners

As we gear up to have fun on the Race day, this Sunday, here is the link to download and know detailed information of all Races.

Please see below the race start timings for all the race categories of TCS World 10K 2018.

Please be aware that you need to be present at the venue (Kanteerava Stadium) at least one hour before the start of your race.

General Information for all Category of Race

• You must pin your running number to the front of your running vest, secured with safety pins provided to you, in each corner. Please do not cut or alter the bib in any way – the entire bib must be clearly visible to all.
• In the space provided at the back of the Bib, write in BLOCK LETTERS your name, the name and number of person we can contact in case of an emergency.
• On race day, i.e. 27st May 2018, you need to assemble at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium. Stadium entrance: Use ONLY the gates mentioned below to enter the stadium premises. No other gates will be open for entry inside the stadium.
• The East Gates [Gate ‘A’ & Gate ‘B’] on Vittal Mallya Road, opp. St. Joseph School or The South Gate on Rajaram Mohan Roy Road from 4 am onwards
• Runners carrying no bag can enter the stadium premises using the DYSS Gate on Siddhalinga Junction (Opp. Coffee Day Square).
• Ensure your running bib is clearly displayed before entering the stadium. Persons without a bib or wearing an incorrect or invalid number bib WILL NOT be allowed entry into the premises. You are requested to cooperate with the police and security personnel who are authorised to check belongings before entering the stadium premises. You may also be required to undergo frisking by the security officials. This is in the interest of the safety of all on race day.

Holding Areas – Majja Run

• The holding area is on the stands of the athletic stadium. To access the holding areas, Majja Run participants need to use any of the following gates; if one holding area seems full, please try another gate for a holding area assigned to Majja Run – gate nos. G11. The Holding Area Gates will open for Majja Run participants at 5.45 am and close at 6.40 am.
• Post Race Refreshments will be available in Gate 10 on the II Tier of the stadium for Majja Run Participants
  Members of Corporate Cares teams participating in the Majja Run need to assemble on the Corporate Cares stand through gate no. Gate 8. Post race refreshments too will be available at the same gate, Gate 8 for Corporate Cares Participants
• Runners reaching the respective holding areas later than 6:40 a.m. and/or not wearing the valid running number bib will not be allowed to participate in the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2018.
• Post Race Refreshments will be available in Gate 10 on the II Tier of the stadium for Majja Run Participants
  Finish Gate is on K G Marg
• There is no baggage storage facility for Majja Run participants.

Holding Areas – Open 10K

• Your run will be timed with the help of the RFID bib tag system. Your RFID bib tag has been attached to your bib back.
• Please do ENSURE YOU GO OVER THE MATS placed at designated timing split points; this is essential to capture your split timings. Rankings will not be generated for runners who miss running over the mats at split points; such runners will not be entitled rankings nor be considered under prize money winning positions

Section E – Lineup through Gate 5 – Start Time 5:39 am
Section F – Lineup through Gate 11 – Start Time 5:42 am

• Runners reaching the respective holding areas later than 5:15 a.m. and/or not wearing the valid running number bib will not be allowed to participate in the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2018.
• Baggage Storage – Space to store your bag will be provided within the stadium premises. You will be given a baggage tag; one-half is to be attached to your bag and the other half is to be retained by you, to be submitted when collecting the bag. This will facilitate easy retrieval of bag post your run. You must collect your bag from the baggage storage by 9:00 a.m. on race day. In case you are unable to collect your bag before such time, you may contact the event helpline (+91 80 4173 9955) latest by 10:00 a.m. on 27th May 2018.
• Holding Areas Gates will open at 4 am aloes at 5.15 am, Warm up session is 4.55 to 5.15 am
• Finish Gate is on K.G Marg
• Post Race there is Volini Recovery Zone
• It is strongly recommended that you do not leave valuables like mobile phone, camera, jewellery, watch, electronic gadgets, etc. in the bag stored. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss, theft or misplacement of your bag or contents stored therein

Holding Areas – CWD – Champions With Disability

1. Stadium entrance: Use ONLY the DYSS gate (@Siddhalinga Junction – landmark Café Coffee Day junction) to enter the stadium premises. Please alight at the gate and proceed towards your start holding area within the athletic stadium. No other gates will be open for entry inside the stadium.
2. The holding area for the CWD participants before the start is with athletic stadium. Use Gate G-C to enter the holding area.
3. Stadium Gates will open at 7.15 am; close at 8 am and Race starts at 8:15 am
4. The finish line is on Kasturba Road, outside the main gate of Sree Kanteerava Stadium. Please do not wait or stop near the finish area as you will come in the way of other participants of the Event – keeping moving ahead towards the CWD marquee. The finish area is a secure area with no public access. You should arrange to meet your supporters only outside the stadium premises.
5. The time limit for completion of the Champions With Disability distance is 9:00 a.m. If you are late and still determined to reach the Finish, please keep to the footpath and then move towards the finish line – the elite athletes participating in the World 10K will have right of way on the race route.

Important :

1. Limited Parking Stickers will be available, on first come first served basis, at the Radio Mirchi Get Active Expo. This is happening from 24th to 26th May 2018 – Elaan Convention Centre, JP Nagar, Bengaluru. The cost is Rs 100 for 4 wheeler and Rs 50 for two wheeler. We urge you to carpool. You will need to show your running bib number and give your vehicle details to avail/ buy the same
2. The facilities will be provided at the Event Venue – Toilets; Water Stadiums; Post Race Nutrition and Medical facilities.
3. Your running number bib has a unique barcode affixed to it. All running bibs will be scanned at the entrance and those with wrong bibs WILL NOT be allowed to enter the stadium.

For security reasons, participants are requested not to carry any baggage with them on race day.
