History
Government Higher Primary School, Dummalli was sanctioned and started in 1947. At the time there was a single teacher, 20 children and 1 class room. This school was started by the efforts of the village leader, Doddamane Navalappa who undertook the cost of construction for 1 class room on land given by the government. The school was converted to a higher primary school (class 5 to 7) in 1981 and another 2 classrooms were added then.
In 2002, the school expanded further and included class 8 as well. Till date 308 students have passed out of class 8 from this school. The school recently received some government grants which were put to good use to construct a girls’ toilet and for renovation of some classrooms
